Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, No. 1, was founded in the year 1966 in Kankarbagh, Patna. This is a civil sector co-education school under the Patna region of the KVS, is one of the most prestigious institutions of learning in Patna. Blissful standing on its own imposing two-storied buildings, the school is located in Kankarbagh.
